Join Past & Present and the Penn Dixie Paleontological & Outdoor Education Center

for a Unique fossil, geological and museum experience!

Hamburg Natural History Society Members: $45; Non-members $50, Ages 8-14

Become a “Junior Paleontologist” for a day! During the morning at Penn Dixie, you’ll investigate

and discover the 380 million year old Middle Devonian animals and plants that lived 130

million years before the first dinosaurs appeared on the earth. In the afternoon, the program

continues at the Past & Present Rock Shop & Museum practicing new skills as a paleontologist.

Participants will learn how to collect, prepare, and assemble their personal fossil collection.

Dinosaur hunting, collection, and preparation & curation of specimens will be discussed.

Jr. Paleontologists will be dropped-off at the Penn Dixie Site and picked up at Past & Present in

Blasdell. It is recommended that a lunch-if possible in a re-usable container, water, change of

shoes, sun screen, hat, collecting tools, and a bucket be brought. Program will run rain or shine.
