Education Programs

If you are a Western New York area educator or group leader, you will want to make use of our programming on fossils and fossil collecting. We've had great success with audiences from pre-school to adult. You may also want to go to our wholesale page and take advantage of the great earth science kits we now have available!

Past & Present offers programs in earth science and related fields. Our unique programs help to make learning fun!  On site visits in your classroom are also offered.

Suggested programs are listed below. Any variation on the below themes are also available.  

  Paleontology:

General Geology:

Programs consist of a presentation that may include slides and an interactive “show and tell” format with many artifacts and models. Most sessions are approximately 45 minutes long. Presentations can be tailored for any age: preschool through adult. Sessions for small groups of 50 students or less within a ten mile radius of our museum are usually $125 for a single session, or $100 each for multiple sessions plus mileage. Larger groups and custom presentation pricing is also available.

We have provided outreach programs at schools in Alden, Blasdell, Buffalo, Depew, Hamburg, Lancaster, Orchard Park, Pendleton, Silver Creek, Tonawanda, several public libraries, and special presentations for the Hamburg Natural History Society, New York State Parks, Canisius College and Monroe Community College.
